Da sitze ich nun, gleich nachdem wir zu Hause angekommen sind und versuche vorbildlich so schnell wie möglich die Eindrücke von den zwei Tagen in Sanremo niederschreiben und alles was mir dazu einfällt: wir haben uns den Bauch voll gehauen! 😀
Nein, Quatsch das war natürlich nicht alles. Die erste positive Überraschung war das Upgrade unserer Zimmer im Hotel Globo. Warum wir dieses Upgrade bekommen haben war uns allen dann aber nicht so klar. Aber was soll’s, für uns hat es ja nicht mehr als die ursprünglichen Zimmer gekostet. Nachdem wir unser Gepäck abgeladen haben ging es gleich schon an den Strand und ich war ziemlich überrascht wie sauber es überall war. Da wir ja jetzt schon alle ein bisschen älter sind, haben wir uns natürlich die Strandliegen mit Sonnenschirm gegönnt und für den halben Tag 9,- Euro dafür gezahlt. Am Abend dann haben wir uns im Hotel über eine gute Pizzeria erkundigt und gefunden. Mit geografischen Schwierigkeiten versteht sich. 😀 Aber wir hatten ja Glück, dass uns ein Einheimischer aufgegabelt, uns an die Hand nahm und uns den Weg gezeigt hat. Ich denke er hatte unsere hungrigen und verzweifelten Blicke bemerkt.
Sanremo hat eine süße kleine Altstadt die man gesehen haben muss, exzellente Restaurants und tolle Bars. Die Stadt direkt am Meer ist nicht allzu groß und kann daher auch super zu Fuß erkundet werden. Leider waren wir nur zur Durchreise da, doch ich denke, es wird uns noch einmal dorthin verschlagen.
Ach, ein Tipp für alle die mit dem Auto anreisen: reist mit einem kleinen Auto bei dem euch Kratzer oder Beulen nicht stören werden. Die italienischen Auto- und Mopedfahrer kennen keine Straßenverkehrsregelen. Zur Mittagszeit sind sogar die Ampeln ausgeschalten. Es wundert mich, dass wir keine Unfälle miterlebt haben.

As soon as we arrived at home and try as soon as possible to write down the impressions of the two days in Sanremo and all I can think of: we had a full stomach! 😀
No, that was nonsense, of course, not all. The first positive surprise was the upgrade of our room in the Hotel Globo. Why did we get this upgrade, we didn’t know. But so what, for us it was not more than the original room cost. After we unloaded our luggage we went right away to the beach and I was quite surprised how clean it was everywhere. Since we already’re all a little older, we paid for the beach chairs with umbrella for half the day 9, – Euro. In the evening, we asked the hotel about a good pizza place and found it. With geographical difficulties appreciated. 😀 But we had luck that we picked up a local who took us by the hand and showed us the way. I think he had noticed our hungry and desperate faces.
Sanremo has a sweet little old town that you have to see, excellent restaurants and great bars. The city seafront is not too large and can therefore also be super explored on foot. Unfortunately we were only passing through there, but I think we will be there again soon.
Oh, arriving a tip for all by car: traveling with a small car in which you scratches or dents will not interfere. The Italian car and moped riders have no rules on the road. At lunchtime, even the lights are turned off. It amazes me that we have witnessed no accidents.
